Last Day of Holiday

We spent most of our day yesterday out at a nearby park, with friends.
Quite a day we had.
Mixed sun and clouds, but not so cold as to want to get inside
after a quick jaunt around the lakes.

Finally a Sunny Day!

We finally got a sunny day on Sunday.
So happy to have sun on my skin!
Here are a few pictures of your day.
"I'm SO HAPPY I can't stop Smiling"
The first ride she chose was a water ride,
very fun, a bit drenching.

We had a nice day out.

Little Booties

I have been wanting to make this pattern for a long while.
I like the results, but I have to learn how to finish slick yarn.
This lovely bamboo/silk keeps sliding out.

Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

Mmmm... I finally made Chocolate Hazelnut Spread.
It was labor intensive, I admit.
It doesn't taste much like Nutella(tm), but it is good.

And The Girl Child loved wearing her earmuffs inside while the food processor whirled away.

Plea for Sunshine

Hi,
I would like to make a plea for some some
 sunshine
and
bearably warm temperatures
here, please, please, pretty please!!
Thank you.

Afternoon in the Woods

We are experiencing a very cold beginning to Spring this year.
We have made a point to get out and enjoy any sun that comes our way.
We also are getting out in the cloudy weather, because being cooped up inside is getting old.
Here are a few photos from our adventures out during this school holiday.

Waterhorses

We recently watched The Waterhorse, the kids loved it.
I made them their own for an Easter gift.

The pattern it from Amigurumi Knits by Hansi Singh.
Not a beginner project, unless you are really determined.

Combing

I find such peace in combing wool.
I like the earthy sheep-y smell.
I love how soft my fingers get from the lanolin.
I always laugh at myself when I have stabbed myself with the combs.
Those things are deadly!

Finished Afghan...

I originally posted...so long ago about starting a new afghan project.  I have completed it finally.  I had planned to do a large size, but didn't have enough yarn to finish the larger size.  It is very warm and fits over a lap just right.
