Waterhorses

We recently watched The Waterhorse, the kids loved it.
I made them their own for an Easter gift.

The pattern it from Amigurumi Knits by Hansi Singh.
Not a beginner project, unless you are really determined.

Finished Afghan...

I originally posted...so long ago about starting a new afghan project.  I have completed it finally.  I had planned to do a large size, but didn't have enough yarn to finish the larger size.  It is very warm and fits over a lap just right.

OpArt afghan

I seem to make two of many of the projects that I do.  Usually because I make gifts and then realize how attached my children are to the projects that I am doing...
So after many years and my LO's still talking fondly of A's Blanket, I went to my stash and pulled out the colors that would seem best to work. I know Peace Fleece is rough and scratchy until you have washed it about 6 to 8 times but I am hoping to have this around for a long time once complete and hopefully it will be soft enough to lay over sleeping grand-babies someday.

Wand Making

A wand was essential to the boy's costume this year.
My friend over at Falafel and the Bee posted a fabulous wand making tutorial.
(While your there you should take some time to browse she is really quite talented).
These were so much fun to make with the children.
I took a long time to get mine all painted, but they had fun keeping it plain.
Enjoy.
